Terraform Engineer

We are looking for a Terraform Engineer to manage and improve Content Delivery Network (CDN) configurations across Akamai and Cloudflare. You will work on tooling that converts CDN configuration data into Terraform and help make configurations consistent across providers. This role focuses on CDN configuration management rather than traditional infrastructure provisioning.

→ CDN Configuration Management

• Manage CDN provider configurations using Terraform.
• Support configurations across Akamai and Cloudflare, identifying differences and improving consistency between providers.
• Review configuration changes to help ensure they are accurate and maintainable.

→ Tooling Development

• Enhance tooling that renders and ingests CDN configuration data into Terraform.
• Support the ongoing development of this tooling, with particular focus on Akamai.
• Troubleshoot issues in configuration data, Terraform workflows, and provider-specific behavior.

→ Collaboration & Delivery

• Work with engineers and stakeholders to understand CDN configuration requirements and translate them into tooling improvements.
• Document configuration patterns and workflows so they can be applied consistently.

• Hands-on experience with both Akamai and Cloudflare.
• Experience with a Content Delivery Management (CDM) approach.
• Experience building tools that import, render, or reconcile existing configurations with Terraform.
• Familiarity with CDN configuration workflows beyond standard infrastructure provisioning.

A reasonable estimate of the current range for a Tech Lead is from $62 to $72 hourly.

• Hands-on experience using Terraform to manage production configurations.
• Experience with CDN platforms, particularly Akamai or Cloudflare.
• Ability to work with configuration data and develop or improve tooling that transforms it into Terraform-managed resources.
• Strong debugging skills and attention to detail when working across provider-specific configurations.
• Clear communication and ability to collaborate with engineering teams.
