AWS Cloud Architect

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to lead enterprise-scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing AWS Landing Zones, defining migration strategies, driving governance and security best practices, and overseeing the successful migration of workloads from on-premises and VMware environments to AWS.

The ideal candidate combines deep AWS architecture expertise with strong stakeholder management skills and proven experience delivering large-scale migration programs. This position plays a critical role in shaping cloud adoption strategies, infrastructure modernization efforts, and long-term cloud governance frameworks.

• Design and implement AWS Landing Zones following AWS best practices.
• Define and maintain multi-account governance, security, networking, and IAM frameworks.
• Lead VMware-to-AWS migration initiatives, including workload assessment and migration planning.
• Evaluate and recommend migration strategies such as Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, and other AWS migration approaches.
• Conduct application and infrastructure dependency analysis to support migration planning.
• Develop and execute migration wave plans, cutovers, and production go-live activities.
• Architect Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, networking, and business stakeholders throughout migration programs.
• Support database migration planning and execution activities.
• Create architecture documentation, migration runbooks, operational procedures, and implementation standards.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering and migration teams.
• Ensure cloud environments align with security, compliance, resilience, and operational excellence standards.

• 5+ years of experience in AWS Cloud Architecture.
• Hands-on expertise designing AWS Landing Zones and multi-account AWS environments.
• Strong knowledge of AWS networking, IAM, security, governance, and cloud operations.
• Proven experience leading VMware-to-AWS migration projects.
• Experience with AWS migration services and migration methodologies.
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Experience executing production migration cutovers and large-scale migration programs.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and influence architecture decisions across multiple teams.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
• Experience with AWS Control Tower and AWS Organizations.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Migration Hub, AWS MGN, and AWS DMS.
• Expertise in Amazon VPC, Route 53, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and hybrid connectivity.
• Scripting and automation skills using Python and Bash.
• Knowledge of cloud governance and compliance frameworks.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working in fast-paced migration and cloud transformation programs.
