Fullstack (Ruby)

We are looking for a Lead Full-Stack Ruby on Rails Developer to serve as a Technical Lead within our client`s global Supply Chain Technology organization, collaborating directly with distributed engineering teams in the US.

In this role, you will take technical ownership of the architecture, feature evolution, and modernization of enterprise applications. This platform is a strategic and operates managing high-volume operations across asset inventory, logistics scheduling, transportation routing, and sustainable material processing under zero-downtime requirements.

• Provide architectural guidance, drive technical decision-making, mentor engineers, and ensure code quality and consistency across a high-performing engineering team.
• Design, code, test, and implement scalable web applications and distributed components utilizing Ruby on Rails (Rails 6/7).
• Architect, build, and maintain mission-critical integrations connecting third-party partner networks and internal enterprise systems using JSON, ProtoBuf, REST, RPC, and XML.
• Collaborate within a polyglot microservices landscape interfacing high-throughput services developed in Go (Golang) and hosted on AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, RDS).
• Maintain and enhance responsive, reliable web interfaces utilizing HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery.
• Performance & Reliability Engineering: Troubleshoot and resolve complex production challenges surrounding response times, system capacity, query optimization (ActiveRecord), and background processing (Sidekiq, Redis).
• Champion rigorous automated testing practices (RSpec, MiniTest) and robust CI/CD automation (CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Act as the primary technical bridge collaborating with US-based business partners, infrastructure/networking teams, and external technology vendors.

• Working experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch).
• Background in logistics, reverse supply chain, asset tracking, inventory, or high-volume transactional platforms.
• Experience leading legacy modernization and zero-downtime framework/gem upgrades.

• Strong hands-on professional software engineering experience, with deep, authoritative mastery of Ruby on Rails and Ruby as a core language.
• Proven Tech Leadership past experiexperience.
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience integrating distributed systems via REST, RPC, ProtoBuf, JSON, and XML.
• Practical hands-on development experience building backend services or microservices in Go.
• Solid command of frontend development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery).
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks (RSpec, MiniTest) and continuous integration pipelines (CircleCI, Jenkins).
• Fluent / Advanced English is mandatory, you will present architectural solutions, lead technical discussions, and collaborate daily with US engineering managers.
  
• Work Authorization & Residency: Must be permanently based in Brazil.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical technical training.
