Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

We are looking for an expert-level Ruby on Rails Developer to take a leading role in designing, developing, and maintaining our core web applications. In this role, you will work on a Rails 6/7 application focused on the electronic recyclables domain—handling complex logic for inventory, scheduling, transportation, management, and processing. You will build and scale full-stack solutions, design robust APIs, and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure our systems are fast, reliable, and secure.
Responsabilidades
- Feature Development & Maintenance: Architect, build, and maintain features for an existing Rails 6/7 application, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scale.
- API Design & Integration: Build and consume APIs to integrate our application with internal tools and 3rd-party vendor systems.
- Full-Stack Development: Handle both back-end logic and front-end interfaces to deliver complete, user-friendly web features.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks, system limitations, and bugs to improve capacity and response times.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work alongside business partners, external vendors, and cross-functional tech teams (database, systems, networking). Create and maintain clear technical documentation.
- Quality Assurance: Write rigorous automated tests and ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across the organization.
Habilidades obligatorias
- Experience: 10+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with deep, expert-level knowledge of Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework.
- API Expertise: Extensive knowledge of API design, architecture, and interface technologies (REST, JSON, RPC, XML, ProtoBuf, etc.).
- Front-End Skills: Solid working knowledge of web front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery.
- Testing: Strong experience with integrated testing frameworks (RSpec, MiniTest, etc.) and a commitment to test-driven development.
- CI/CD: Working knowledge of Continuous Integration suites and deployment pipelines (CircleCI, Jenkins, etc.).
- Education: 4-year degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent technical training (e.g., coding bootcamp).
Habilidades deseables
- Professional experience with Go (Golang) development.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
