Lead Consultant – Microsoft (.NET)

We are looking for a Lead Consultant with strong Microsoft .NET and AWS expertise to drive the design, development, modernization, and migration of enterprise applications to the AWS platform.

In this role, you will work hands-on with complex .NET applications, helping customers migrate and modernize legacy workloads while ensuring scalability, performance, security, and production readiness. You will also act as a technical advisor, working closely with customers, architects, developers, partners, and internal teams.

This is a senior technical leadership position that combines hands-on software engineering, cloud modernization, customer engagement, and technical leadership.

• Design, build, modernize, and migrate applications and services to AWS.
• Lead the migration and modernization of .NET Framework applications to modern .NET.
• Analyze migration challenges, identify workarounds, and resolve complex technical issues and edge cases.
• Apply modernization strategies such as rehosting, replatforming, and refactoring.
• Develop automated solutions for recurring migration and operational challenges.
• Design and execute test plans and test cases to validate application and database readiness after migration.
• Build and deliver Proofs of Concept (POCs) when required.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable business applications and microservices.
• Work with containerized applications and cloud-native architectures.
• Develop and consume RESTful services using ASP.NET Web API.
• Collaborate with professional services and technical teams to support migration proposals and solution design.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with architects, support teams, business development, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure successful customer outcomes.
• Support clean handover of solutions to support or implementation teams.
• Apply performance optimization techniques to improve application scalability and reliability.
• Work within Agile software development environments and automated build-test-deploy pipelines.

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET, Web API, WCF, ADO.NET, and VB.NET.
• Strong experience with .NET Framework and modern .NET, including application migration and modernization.
• Proven experience designing and developing applications on AWS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as:EC2
  S3
  RDS
  Lambda
  API Gateway
  EventBridge
  CloudWatch
  IAM
  VPC
  ALB/ELB
  
• Strong knowledge of ASP.NET Web API, including routing, HTTP pipelines, content negotiation, filters, CORS, authentication, and authorization.
• Strong understanding of ORM frameworks, particularly Entity Framework or Dapper.
• Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks, such as Microsoft Unit Testing Framework.
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, including SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Deep experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices using containers.
• Experience with application performance optimization and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with CI/CD and automated software delivery pipelines.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, application design, and scalable development practices.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and working with cross-functional teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead customer conversations and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification.

• Experience with Amazon ECS or Amazon EKS.
• Experience with AWS CI/CD services such as CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline.
• Experience with AWS CloudFormation or AWS CDK for .NET.
• Experience with the AWS SDK for .NET.
• Experience with Amazon DynamoDB and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with database migration and database porting.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, privacy, and risk management requirements such as SOX, HIPAA, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise application modernization.
• Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
• Experience working directly with customers in consulting or professional services environments.
• Experience developing cloud-native solutions and distributed systems.
