Distinguished Architect, Enterprise Data & Integration

We're seeking a Distinguished Architect to set the strategic direction for enterprise data and integration architecture across our global landscape. In this role, you will hold accountability for canonical business entity models, operational integrations connecting transactional systems, and the analytical data flows that dictate how our business is measured and run.

Operating at significant scale across a systems landscape built through both organic growth and acquisition, you will partner closely with engineering, product, and data leaders. Your architectural vision will shape major platform investments—including our ERP modernization program, the continued evolution of our data platforms, and AI-driven enablement across commerce and our supply chain.

• Own Integration Architecture: Manage the integration layer across transactional systems, data lakes, data warehouses, and external trading partners to ensure order, inventory, product, and customer data flows reliably.
• Enable AI & Personalization: Design enterprise data architecture that makes data trustworthy and accessible for AI applications and conversational experiences, directly improving fan-facing commerce.
• Scale External Ecosystems: Ensure integrations with marketplaces, wholesale customers, 3PLs, and carriers are robust and capable of supporting the fan experience on a global scale.
• Protect Fan Data: Partner with Data Governance, InfoSec, and Compliance to ensure integration architecture meets stringent privacy, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

• Evolve Data Platforms: Shape the trajectory of our data lake and warehouse environments at enterprise scale, guiding the coexistence and transition of platforms like Snowflake, StarRocks, and Iceberg.
• Advance Integration Maturity: Apply deep command of enterprise integration patterns—including event-driven architecture, API governance, and streaming platforms like Kafka.

A reasonable estimate of the current range for a Enterprise Architect is from $95 to $100 hourly.

• Experience: 15+ years in enterprise software architecture, with the majority spent leading data and integration architecture at enterprise scale.
• Systems Expertise: Deep grounding in distributed systems architecture, service decomposition, domain boundaries, and the trade-offs that shape large-scale systems.
• Data Architecture: Extensive background in data modeling, master/reference data management, data quality, and lineage. Proven experience architecting enterprise-scale data lakes and warehouses using modern platforms (e.g., Snowflake, StarRocks, Iceberg).
• Transactional Integration: Deep expertise integrating transactional systems (OMS, WMS, ERP, Inventory, Manufacturing, Commerce), including systems inherited via acquisition. Experience with EDI and modern API-based onboarding for external trading partners.
• Integration Patterns: Command of event-driven architecture, API design/governance, and messaging/streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka) within large-scale commerce and supply chain environments.
• AI & Analytics Readiness: Experience designing semantic/metrics layers and assessing data foundations for AI applications and conversational interfaces.
• Influence & Mentorship: Demonstrated ability to set technical direction without direct authority and a strong track record of mentoring senior technical talent.
• Cloud & Compliance: Strong enterprise cloud architecture skills with experience navigating significant privacy, data classification, and regulatory residency requirements.
• Industry Background: Retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods experience is highly preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
